Getting a Class 6 PEI motorcycle license marks the end of the PEI motorcycle graduated driver licensing program or MGDL. Getting a PEI motorcycle license - Class 6, means you are fully qualified to drive a motorcycle in Prince Edward Island at any time without a supervising driver present. Congratulations for having successfully completed the PEI Motorcycle Learner stage, the Stage 2 Novice and the Stage 3 Novice levels. Always drive safely and remember, it's against the law to drive without appropriate Prince Edward Island motorcycle insurance and the proper registration documents for your bike.
Drive with your PEI Stage 3 Novice license for 1 year to get your Class 6 motorcycle licence
There is no road test needed to get your final Class 6 PEI motorcycle license, however, the understanding is that by the time you get to this stage, you are a qualified, safe and capable motorcycle driver. It is up to you to apply for your PEI Class 6 after the required amount of time at the Stage 3 Novice level has passed. (Don't forget, if you ever want to refresh your road signs and road rules motorcycle driving knowledge, our free PEI motorcycle practice test and our PEI road rules & road signs practice test series are a great way to do this.)
