Here is the first of our series of free G1 signs test sets, designed to help aspiring car, van or small truck drivers more easily pass the G1 knowledge test, which is required by Ontario as part of the Graduated Licensing System (GLS). In this first driving signs test, we begin with regulatory traffic and road sign meanings. All of our G1 test signs series has been developed with the help of previous G1 graduates as well as from the Official Ministry of Transportation (MTO) Driver's Handbook. New drivers should thoroughly study the handbook, and use it in conjunction with all of our G1 signs test material. You can find an online version of the MTO Driver's Handbook here or you can purchase it here: Official Ministry of Transportation (MTO) Driver's Handbook.
The Official Driver's Handbook covers all of the road and safety information a new driver is required to know for the G1 knowledge test. However, we believe our G1 signs test material is a great study assistant, and a fun and easy way to quickly memorize the road sign meanings. While there are no trick questions in the actual G1 knowledge test (as well as with our driving signs test series), sometimes certain rules of the road signs can appear to have similar meanings. For this reason, make sure you completely understand all of the available answers as well as the question before giving an answer.
After this particular Ontario G1 signs test practice, there are an additional two road and traffic safety sign exercises you should work with. These cover all kinds of additional aspects of road signs including the hand signals for driving test. The next one is here: G1 test questions and answers, covering road warning signs, and our third driving signs test is here: G1 test online. This one covers high-occupancy vehicle signs (HOV signs) and temporary, information and direction signs and more. When you feel you've mastered all three, it's time for the practice exam here: G1 exam.
Successfully passing the Ontario G1 knowledge test also requires a thorough understanding of Ontario road rules. Accordingly, ICanDrive.ca also provides additional practice test studies covering various aspects of Ontario's rules of the road. The first is here: G1 driving rules, road rules test number two is: G1 test - rules of the road and the third is here: Ontario written driving test. Again, once you feel you know your stuff, test yourself with the practice G1 test - road rules.
Any additional questions you may have about the G1, including the documentation required, restrictions, eligibility, the costs involved etc. etc. can be found here: Ontario G1 Practice Tests & License Info. For information about other Ontario driving licenses, please visit Ontario driving licenses.
This G1 signs test, as well as all of the the other practice test material, is completely free to use. Use them as frequently as you require, to fully master the material or as a quick review prior to heading to take the actual test. These kinds of G1 knowledge practice tests can really save you money as well, since you'll be required to pay again each time you re-take the official G1 test. Our program has helped lots of people be more comfortable and confident, more well-prepared, and far more likely to pass on the very first try. let us know what you think.
