6 I Licence + 6 II Licence → Class 6 Licence
To get a Class 6 Level 1 motorcycle learners license, you have to pass certain driving knowledge tests about Newfoundland road signs and rules (see if you could pass them here and here), a balance test to show basic motorcycle handling skills, and a vision test to ensure your eyesight will allow you to ride safely on Newfoundlands public roads.
Written Test + Vision Test → Class 6 Level 1 Licence
You can get your 6 I licence on your 16th birthday.
Here's how to get your NL beginners licence:

You must first pass a Class 6 road test, and demonstrate strong, safe driving habits in order to get a NL motorcycle novice driver license - Class 6 Level 2. This is the second stage of the NL graduated motorcycle license system. If you thoroughly practice all of the bike driving skills you need to know to be a safe, fully competent motor bike driver, and don't get into trouble, you will qualify, and eventually graduate to a full Class 6 motorbike licence.
Class 6 I Licence for 12 months + Road Test → Class 6 Level 2 Licence
12 months at the Class 6 I stage are required.
Steps to get your Class 6 II licence:
Complete a vehicle examination prior to the road test
Bring along your beginners license
Don't be late for your appointment
Successfully pass the Class 6 road test
Getting your Class 6 motorcycle license shows that you've learned how to become a safe, confident and capable motorbike driver, and fully qualified to hold the motorcycle license NL issues. Don't forget, you must always carry sufficient motorcycle insurance and also have all of the appropriate documentation for your bike.
Class 6 II Licence for 12 months → Class 6 Licence
Remain incident free for 12 months.
