Take a Driver's Education Course
In Ontario every new driving license applicant is automatically entered in to the GLS(Graduated Licensing System). This system has three stages which require to be completed prior to receiving a full class G license. During stage one, a driver has to pass a knowledge test consisting of Ontario road rules and traffic signs questions. Once this knowledge test has been successfully completed a driver receives a G1 license. During stage two a driver has to pass an Ontario road test. Upon successful passing of the road test a driver receives a class G2 license. For the third stage a driver is eligible to take the second road test to graduate to the full class G license after 12 months. However this time period can be reduced to 8 months by taking a ministry approved course provided by driving schools in Ontario while a driver is still in the learner's (class G1 license)stage.
