Ontario G1 Practice Test - Temporary, Information and Direction, and HOV
Choose one of the following quizzes to start practicing:
This third set of G1 practice test questions covers the final categories of Ontario road signs that you will be expected to know when you take the real G1 test. These categories are temporary signs, signs that provide information and directions, and HOV, or high-occupancy vehicle, related signs.
The first section covered in this practice road signs test is the temporary road signs. These are generally construction-related signs that warn drivers of changes in traffic ahead, the possible need to stop, uneven pavement or any other similar condition that is temporary. They are not always related to construction, but you will find that many are.
Next in the Ontario road signs sample G1 test is the information and direction signs. These are signs that provide information on which lanes are for turning and which go straight, as well as providing distance information, such as how far it is to the next city. Finally, there are the HOV signs, which provide information regarding which areas are designated for high-occupancy vehicles. These categories are smaller than the other road signs categories, and are thus combined together in this final G1 road signs practice test.
This sample G1 test uses the same format as the real driving theory test in order to help you prepare. The questions are presented in multiple choice format, giving you four possible answers to each. You will see an image of a road sign and be given four options for what it means. Read all of the options carefully before responding. This is the same format that the real G1 test will use to quiz you on Ontario road signs and your knowledge of their meaning.
On your G1 exam you will answer both Ontario road signs and rules questions. The segment on road signs will be 20 questions drawn from all of the categories of road sign types. You will need to answer 16 of these correctly in order to pass. There is no way to be certain which road signs will appear on your Ontario G1 test; for this reason these G1 practice tests aim to cover the widest range of signs that appear on the real G1 test. It's best to go through all of the sample G1 test sets several times in order to improve your recollection of the signs and their meanings.
The G1 exam questions provided here are taken from the Ontario G1 handbook as well as from real people who have taken and passed the G1 exam. The test is designed to provide you with a realistic view of what you can expect on the real G1 test. While there is no guarantee that you will see the same questions on your G1 test, these are actual road signs sample questions that can appear on the real G1 test.
