Class 7 License
How to get your Class 7 License- You must be 16 years or older
- Visit a licensing office to pass a vision test and a written knowledge test about the rules of the road and traffic signs.
- Maintain zero blood alcohol level at all times
- No passengers, except an experienced driver who holds at least a Class 5 license
6 months (can be reduced to 3 if you take a ministry approved driving course)
Class 5N License
How to get your Class 5N licenseAfter 6 months of holding a Class 7 license (or 3 months if you have completed a ministry approved driving course) you are eligible to take the road test. Upon successful completion of this road test you can obtain your newly licensed Class 5N license
Rules to abide by when driving with a Class 5N license- Maintain zero blood alcohol level at all times
- No driving between midnight and 5:00 Am unless accompanied by an experienced driver

How to get your Class 5 licenseAfter 24 months of holding a Class 5N license a driver must successfully complete a 6 hour Defensive Driving course or complete the full Driver Training Course (25 hours theory, 10 hours driving time).
